Abortion May Kill ObamaCare

The abortion issue may take down ObamaCare, even if Congress pulls the Health Care Nuclear Option in a desperate attempt to pass the bill.  Congressman Bart Stupak (D-MI) declared yesterday that “several Democrats who voted for it the House would oppose it next time around” without removing pro-abortion language in the Senate passed ObamaCare bill.  This is a big problem for the proponents of ObamaCare, because under the special rules of the reconciliation process, ObamaCare can’t be fixed.

Even if the Democrats attempted to insert a ban on the federal funding of abortion in the reconciliation measure, that would cause both procedural and vote counting problems in the Senate.  For all the talk yesterday from the President about this being the time to vote on ObamaCare, an unresolved abortion controversy makes prospects for passage doubtful.

Um, MSNBC is *Totally* Losing It

I’m not really sure who this Dylan Ratigan is and I suspect that maybe 3 people — tops — watch his show. However, his behavior, whilst interviewing Mark Williams about Tea Parties, is indicative of how desperate MSNBC and many on the far left have become.

Just keep screeching “you want to kill black people. Racists! Nazis!” That’s working out really well for you so far, lefties!

Sigh. While I, at times, point and snicker at their foolishness and buffoonery, it also infuriates me. Not only because they are obviously using their typical tired and old, yet still cruel, Alinksy tactics, but also because they are sickeningly diminishing real acts of racism by their constant and vile claims of faux racism. If everything is racist, idiots, then nothing is.

Insanity in action below:

Racist Donny Deutsch slurs Marco Rubio (R CAND, FL-SEN).

Via Hot Air, check out the racial sensitivity of MSNBC/CNBC talking head Donnie Deutsch:

‘Coconut,’ for those lucky enough to have missed it up to this point, is a derogatory racial epithet hurled against dark-skinned individuals deemed insufficiently ‘authentic.’ It suggests that the individual in question is ‘brown on the outside, white on the inside.’ When used by someone of the same ethnic identity as the slurred individual, it takes on the additional connotation of ‘race traitor;’ when used by someone of Caucasian ancestry, it typically represents an opportunity to express racial hatreds in a socially acceptable manner. The Other Side has, shall we say, a history of such things; and if we ever have that full and frank discussion of race that’s been promised the first question that I plan to ask is going to be about precisely why this is acceptable behavior among them.

About the only thing mitigating this exercise in public racism is that it appeared on the Joy Behar show, which means that almost nobody saw it anyway.

A Gauntlet is thrown down before Olbermann

More like he was slapped by it

[Update: I didn't scroll far enough]

On February 27 most recently radicalized right-wingers will be celebrating a special birthday, the anniversary of the first national tea party, following “The Rant” of Rick Santelli.

One group out of Dallas, Texas couldn’t help but notice while Keith Olbermann constantly calls tea party goers “racists” and worse, he’s never actually been to a tea party. How could he have been, after saying what he said below?

Well the Dallas Tea Party officially invited Olbermann to show up and see for himself there is more diversity at tea party events than you’ll see on PMSNBC MSNBC at any given time.

Two Cheers for Tea! (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Tea Party)

The Tea Party is a leaderless protest movement. It's not Ross Perot redux. And that's why this movement will last for a long time.

Sarah The Anti-Elite

Sarah Palin’s speech at the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville was widely seen as her sort of “Coming out speech” of sorts post-Alaska governor, post-Vice presidential candidate. Well, in the eyes of many, especially those in attendance, she didn’t disappoint. But int he eyes of the media, and one network in particular, Sarah Palin, even if she saved a basket of puppies, and old woman, and a newborn from a burning skyscraper apartment building, no matter what Sarah Palin is despised by this one network, and you all know who I’m talking about.

There are those out there who are uncomfortable, or to put in in its most honest form: “Afraid” of the idea that she might very well run for president, win the nomination, and defeat a politically damaged Barack Obama in 2012. Now, I’m a Palin fan but I see many flaws, then again all candidates have flaws. But above all else I see someone who is raw, and by raw I mean real. Sarah Palin, despite criticism by the learned coastal staples has the same quirky broken vernacular as the room mom, you guys remember room moms don’t you? The moms who would be in charge of bringing the treats for the classroom parties when you were in elementary school. My mom, was a room mother for about two years. She’s the first true citizen politician. She’s that PTA mom who gets involved in the affairs of her community. And that not only annoys the elites, yes the elites, and I know that word has become cliche, but it’s an appropriate label nonetheless, it also makes them feel like Sarah Palin is somehow beneath them because she didn’t go to Harvard or Yale, she didn’t spend every waking moment of her life campaigning, consulting with strategists, prepping, and focus grouping every word she has every spoke in her life. They say she needs to come up with new ideas, as oppose to Barack Obama who takes old ideas and wraps them in new gift paper. I mean, what is so old and unappealing about small government and less spending?

But this is what happens when you consolidate power and influence within a relatively small area in the beltway and along the coastal regions in America. And yes John Stewart, a truck driver from Burlington Iowa has a different world view than a journalist from Seattle. What’s worse is the apologists on the right, or as they like to call it the “reasonable right” who constantly throw her under the bus so they don’t offend their liberal buddies, Joe Scarborough knows all about that. Just once I’d like to see a Republican on camera, on MSNBC express their support for Sarah Palin. Pat Buchanan is the only one that comes to mind, but I’d like to see more. You don’t have to be a blind supporter of Sarah Palin, we don’t believe in messiahs in the GOP, but at the same time don’t act like you can’t defend your brother or sister in arms whenever the left rears its ugly head after this woman appears on camera.

So she took shots at Obama, you know I noticed that more so called conservatives were offended by that than liberals. I’ve said this for a long time, there are some in our party who are either afraid of Barack Obama for whatever reason, or deep down they like him because they still think he’s the same Obama from the campaign, as if that were the real Obama to begin with. These people are going to have to wake up and join the fight, or get dumped in the mud because we don’t have time to eat our own. Sarah Palin is one of us, she’s not our enemy what’s wrong with these people. You would think Sarah Palin smells or she’s the demon daughter of Satan. What it boils down to is this: She’s unwavering, political, morally, culturally, and the beltway crowd couldn’t imagine holding true to anything that might put their popularity around the cocktail party circuit at risk.

All they talk about is bipartisanship and reason. So they go out on these fake debate tours together, Howard Dean and Ariana Huffington, and Joe Scarborough, or Alan Colmes, Donna Brazil, and Rick Santorum. These debates are nothing but publicity stunts put on by people who live inside an echo chamber filled with alcohol breath, cigarette smoke, and talking points. Their obsession with bipartisanship is masochistic, it’s all they think about. But in reality, history shows us that partisanship, rather than one party namely the GOP, compromising their principles was widely accepted and encouraged by the founders. Let cite an example: Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton were very skeptical of one another. In fact, when Hamilton was appointed the first Sec. of the Treasury by George Washington Thomas Jefferson was not only a fierce opponent of what Hamilton implemented at the treasury secretary, but he was also opposed to Hamilton’s government solutions because in his eyes he feared it would have influence over politicians and the people. In short, this was the first one many early examples of fierce and substantive partisanship in Washington. Lest we forget Burr and Hamilton’s hatred of one another than ended in a duel, leaving both men mortality wounded. John Adams and Thomas Jefferson remained bitter toward one another after the1801 election. So this so called “destructive partisan ranker” as they call it is as old as the republic herself.

The Jefferson Republicans were down right mean and they went full speed ahead after their opponents and they singled out John Adams. This is tradition in our politics, it’s called democracy at work. Calling Barack Obama a socialist or a liar when he’s clearly both is not uncivilized, it’s justifiable and it’s not uncommon. The way Alexander Hamilton ridiculed and embarrassed Aaron Burr at a dinner party makes today’s partisanship seem like two little girls fighting over a barbie doll, each girl grabbing on end of the doll and pulling it like tug of war. At least in today’s partisan battles they aren’t settled by the barrel of a gun.

Graphic: Sarah Palin: Messenger of Common Sense

sarah palin messenger of common senseThe people’s choice!

Last night, literally less than 30 seconds after Palin ended her speech, I heard Bob Schrum on Ed Schultz’s program describe her as a “Merchant of hate with a smile”.  This angered me so much that creating this graphic was the only way I could fight back, short of breaking my TV set.

I guess it takes one to know one

From the Daily Caller today:

Tension between liberal progressives and the White House ran high over the weekend when MSNBC personality Ed Schultz revealed Saturday that he had called White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs a “piece of s***,” prompting Gibbs to curse at him in return.

The column goes on to tell how progressives and liberals are all feeling - taken for granted [sniff, awwww] and that the administration is not pushing hard enough….

I say, give them all a gun, put them in a field and let them initiate a circular firing squad. Of course, someone would have to teach them how to pull the trigger. “Pulling the trigger” is not something they are good at.

Now, if this were on any other network other than MSNBC, SOMEONE may have actually witnessed the exchange.

So, on the run up to the SOTU: Air America goes tits-up, FireDogLake/DKos/HuffPo/TDC are rattling sabers, MA goes Purple, House Dems are fighting to be the next to quit “for family reasons”, HCR is acting just like the piece of crap that it is - circling the drain, and the Senate Seats once held by the POTUS AND VPOTUS may very well switch sides.

Not the best week (or two) to have a (D) after your name.

Keith Olbermann v. Full Disclosure

In the wake of Scott Brown’s victory in Massachusetts, I have been watching the Democrat media – strictly for entertainment value.

Yesterday, the Supreme Court struck down part of the McCain-Feingold law.  Now, thanks to the Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission decision, corporations can spend money on political purposes.  Keith Olbermann was outraged, OUTRAGED that big corporations would get involved in politics.  I forced myself to listen closely, waiting for him to disclose something very relevant.  Olbermann never did mention the fact that the network he (and Rachel Maddow and Ed Schultz) work for, MSNBC, belongs to a big corporation, General Electric.

In truth, Keith Olbermann is a corporate spokesman for General Electric.  He has no problem with his big corporation owning a network that spews Democrat talking points 24/7.  But, if another corporation is able to buy a 30-second political commercial on MSNBC or another network, Olbermann says that would endanger democracy.

Olbermann even compared Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission to Dred Scott v. Sanford.  He also failed to disclose the fact that the author of that infamous decision, Chief Justice Roger Taney, was a Democrat.  In fact, all seven Supreme Court justices who voted for Dred Scott were Democrats.

In the interest of full disclosure, let’s remember that Ronald Reagan got his start in politics as a spokesman for General Electric.

Michael Zak is a popular speaker to Republican organizations around the nation, showing office-holders and candidates and activists how they would benefit tremendously from appreciating the heritage of our Grand Old Party.  Back to Basics for the Republican Party is his acclaimed history of the GOP, cited by Clarence Thomas in a Supreme Court decision.  He is also the author of the 2005 Republican Freedom Calendar.  His Grand Old Partisan blog celebrates more than fifteen decades of Republican heroes and heroics.  See http://grandoldpartisan.com and www.RepublicanBasics.com for more information.

Obamavision BOTV

Obama vision - The Truman show
If you have ever saw the Truman Show staring Jim Carrey it’s a movie about a happless man who lives in a bubble created by an evil network. The whole world is in on the mans life without his knowledge. He lives his life among countless hidden cameras and numerous sets and friends who are just actors acting as friends. I hate to ruin a movie but, it’s been out since 1998 so I think it’s OK. In the end Truman breaks out of the bubble to find there a real world outside.

If you look at whats happening today with the mainstream media, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN its like The Truman Show. This time though Obama is Trumam the people are the happless victim and the networks are, well, evil! The mainstreamers and their handlers continue to assault the American People when they speak up, saying: “IT’S RIGHT-WING RADICALS, NAZIS, BROWN SHIRTS, RACISTS, PEOPLE AFRAID OF CHANGE.” They continue to tell us how great The Dear Leader is and how we need this change.  It’s kinda funny the only real change is the people are starting to break out of their bubbles, they are see the truth. They are starting to realise that they are the victims and the mainstreamers are the assailants. If you look at the Van Jones issue all the mainstreamers told us was Van Jones call the republicans assholes. Thats it! nothing of all the racial comments or commie background. The network tried to keep Truman blind from the truth, and now the networks are trying to keep us victims and keep us blind from the truth.
When network news shows air selective truths about an event they are guilty in any untruths perpetrated on their audience. The great thing is that their punishment is some of the lowest ratings in history! And that means $$$$. Your ratings are dropping faster then Obama’s poll numbers! People are tuning out Obama Vision, aka BOTV !

I do have a few questions for the mainstreamers: Whats in it for you? Is Obama paying you? Are you afraid? Have you been threatened ?

Bruce Thornton, a professor of Classics at American University of Cal State Fresno wrote:
Lenin called them “useful idiots,” those people living in liberal democracies who by giving moral and material support to a totalitarian ideology in effect were braiding the rope that would hang them. Why people who enjoyed freedom and prosperity worked passionately to destroy both is a fascinating question, one still with us today.

The mainstreamers will be victims of their own misdeeds!
In closing my veiw is that the mainstreamers journalistic talants would be better used as weight guessers at a carnival ! You could be truly wrong, but honest at the same time!
As Truman did, we are now seeing the truth!
